Fun, but not to be repeated

We went to Lemos farms with some friends of ours on October 20th. Way too close to Halloween. The drive was so long and it was so crowded. We vowed not to go during a holiday month again! But the kids did have fun.

Rough Days
Once when Rachel was complaining/upset about the problems she had had at preschool I asked (sarcastically I admit) if she had a rough day. Yes, was the answer. Now every so often Alex and I get to hear about how both Rachel and Lauren had rough days.

Wink Naps
Both girls do better in the evening when they have napped but can power through without when required. I still like having nap time to myself so on my day off and the weekends I have them nap at home. In order to get Lauren to nap, I had taken to having Rachel pretend to lay down for a little bit (10-20min) and hope she falls asleep accidentally. Whenever I would say nap time, Rachel would complain so I would wink at her. So then Rachel would say nap time and then do a very unsubtle wink. Then she gave up and just started calling them wink naps. Lauren of course wanted wink naps too. So now both girls only take wink naps.

Junior Jumpers

This was girls' favorite ride. Lauren loved it immediately and wanted to go by herself. Rachel watched Lauren many times before she was even willing to try. Then Rachel loved it too.

Because America is Great

The title is the answer Rachel gave Lauren for why it is called Great America.
