40 Jumps

Hopscotch again. This time with a whopping 40 boxes. These are in order showing Rachel more running through than jumping.

Negative Tide Day

We went to the tidepools in Half Moon Bay. Let's just say the wind, wet, and very early start time made it not our most favorite outing. But the girls liked touching the starfish and creatures.

May Visits in San Mateo

Elementary School Party

They had a party at Rachel's soon-to-be school back in May. The girls had a blast. Rachel is very excited to be going to kindergarten in August.

Seeing Spots

We are a chicken pox household with all four of us itchy and red.
Wait, you say didn't the girls and Crystal get the chicken pox last year?
Well, yes they did.
Didn't the girls get the chicken pox vaccine?
Well, yes they did.
Then this is the third time for Crystal?
Well, yes it is.
Didn't Alex run out and get the vaccine last time?
Well, yes he did.
And he still has spots?
Well, yes he does.

At least Rachel, Alex and I have pretty mild cases. Lauren however was hit pretty hard again. Things I have learned:

1) Use the fact that Calamine lotion is a beautiful pink color to insist on one more application.
2) Calamine lotion is best applied with a cotton ball.
3) To dry Calamine faster, use a hair dryer.
4) The girls hate anti-itch sprays claiming they hurt - maybe the alcohol base.
5) Clartin syrup is now available for 2 years and up.
6) Clip finger nails very short.
7) Scalp pox are the worst to treat.
8) Aveeno Colloidal oatmeal baths are great but they are even more fun if you don't disperse the oatmeal very well and the girls get to smash up the clumps.
