Hannukah and Birthday

Hannukah and Alex's birthday overlapped this year. Here are a few momments from our Hannukah and birthday celebrations.

Krispy Kreme

I took the girls to Krispy Kreme after gymnastics on Wednesday. They loved watching the doughnuts flip over in the oil but their favorite part was the "frosting waterfall" that the doughnuts went through to get doused with frosting. Choosing between all the pretty doughnuts was difficult; therefore, I let everyone pick two. Rachel picked holiday sprinkles and chocolate cream. Lauren picked holiday sprinkles and strawberry jelly. I ate my two doughnuts (original and cream filled) in maybe 8 minutes. The girls ate about 3 bites - together over 25 minutes. Rachel ate all the sprinkles off the one and licked a section of the chocolate one. Lauren didn't touch the sprinkles and just stuck her finger in the jelly once it was exposed. I thought they didn't like them but when Alex got home they told him how they each got to eat two doughnuts. And just so you don't worry that I wasted the delicious treats, I ate 3 more and Alex had the strawberry one.

The girls went bowling for the first time (bumper bowling) with their cousins Julia and Morgan. The girls had a blast with the music, lighting, 6lb colored balls, and knocking down those pins.
