First Day for First Grade

We have started back at school. The timing of the school bell dominates our mornings again. We walk in the neighborhood parade each day. This year, Rachel gets to go straight into the classroom instead of lining up and waiting for the teacher to walk the class inside. Ms. Lowe, Rachel's teacher, has a little project waiting for them to play with when they arrive. All the kids and parents (ourselves included) really like the open door policy.
